Singer / Songwriter / Guitarist who entertains his audience by combining many musical genres--including rock, pop, blues, folk and alternative--to create his own unique and original style and sound. Devlin performs throughout New England, both as a solo acoustic artist and with other musicians, offering solo, duo, and full-band lineups to fit any situation. Due to his tremendous versatility, he appeals to audiences of all ages and musical tastes, and is constantly building upon his extensive fan base. Educated at Berklee College of Music, he graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor's Degree in songwriting, also studying performance and arranging. His original song, "Sunny Day," was a winner in Berklee’s "Annual Songwriter's Competition." Versatile song list includes his original material plus music from the '60s (Beatles, Stones, Led Zep, Jonathan Edwards, etc.) through the Millennium (Dave Matthews, John Mayer, Train, Sublime, U2, REM, Bare Naked Ladies, etc.) and classics from all the decades in between (Eagles, James Taylor, Van Morrison, Eric Clapton, etc.). Live venues range from small pubs to large concert halls and outdoor events. Devlin has performed at more than 1,500 live events since 1993, and has shared the stage with top names including Cheap Trick, Blood Sweat & Tears, The Beach Boys and The Wailers (original members of Bob Marley & The Wailers). In 1999, Jim Devlin was named Best Solo Artist in the Worcester Phoenix Best Music Poll.
